Bio:

Dr. Flynn specializes in post-Kantian German philosophy and teaches courses in 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, philosophy of law, philosophy of science, critical thinking, and international business ethics. He has won multiple teaching awards. Dr. Flynn presents and publishes primarily in post-Kantian German philosophy, philosophy of action, and philosophy of law. His recent publications include "Living Right: Need and Punishment in Kant and Hegel" and "Identity and Difference in Hegel's Model of Ethical Normativity." A fan of sport, music, and movies, Dr. Flynn is also interested in the intersection of philosophy and popular culture. He is currently writing a novel about Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit, as well as a lengthy essay on moral law and civil society in the westerns of Clint Eastwood.
